what is this coin and what is the face value?
i found this coin in my uncle’s coin collection and he or i have no clue what it is. please help

The faint “T” pointing to the shoulder of the figure on the coin reverse tells me that it’s a twenty centavos coin, a regular issue from the Phillppines that was struck in 0.750 fine silver from 1937-1945(you can tell from the coat-of-arms type) and issued during the self-governing commonwealth period. World coins catalog listed this coin as KM#182 but no value was given for coin in that condition. In general, very worn silver coins with many details missing are only worth its bullion and in your case the coin is worth about $0.80.
For your extra info, the Philippines was ceded to the United States as part of a settlement in 1898 and was granted full independence on July 4, 1946. During the United States administration, Congress was responsible for issuing coinage and during the commonwealth period(established in 1935), coinage was issued primarily at the Manila Mint and at the Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco Mints in 1944-45.
